How Google Adsense Works?

Google Adsense is one of the hassle-free way to make money online. But, to get a stable income from Adsense, you need good traffic, well optimization and more than that, the basic understanding of it. I’m sharing here my personal understanding of how Google AdSense works, so you can get to know the real fact behind it.  This is completely from my personal understanding and experience.

I get few emails and comments about less earning from AdSense, mainly the low CPC. No matter how good traffic and CTR they have, but the final earning is still less because of less CPC.
You must understand the basic process behind Google AdSense, such as how it works, from where Google gets money, why CPC is not stable and how others are making more money than you with less traffic.
Google AdSense is Google’s advertising program for publishers and webmasters who can make money by showing ads on their websites/blogs. It’s a PPC (Pay Per Click) program which pay you when someone (genuine click from genuine reader!) click the ads on you site. Each click may pay you differently depending on how much the particular advertiser is paying to Google.
Google Adwords is another part of same Google advertising program which works for advertisers who want to advertise through Google. So, basically Google Adsense shows ads on your site, which are received from advertisers through Google Adwords.
I found an very informative infographic shows the process of Google Adwords. Even though, it shows how Adwords works, but you will get some good ideas of Adsense too, because both are directly connected.

what-is-google-adwordswww.tricktimenepal.blogspot.com

What We Can Take From Above infographic?

These are the points I can list out to understand the basics which helps on increasing your AdSense earnings.
1) You need to write about a topic which is having several products to sell by several companies. So, the competition among advertisers will be high. This fact directly influences the CPC.
If I’m writing about ‘best webhosting providers’, I know there are plenty of companies in market, specifically to sell their products. So, I’m predicting the high competition which means higher CPC ads on my blog.
If you are writing about ‘Free mp3 download’ or ‘Indian college exam results’ on your blog, Yes, you may receive good traffic, but you will not find higher CPC ads. Just think ! , which American or European country company will bid (pay more to Google Adwords) to show their ads on ‘Indian college exam result’ websites?, the answer will be “ No one “. Even I doubt Indian colleges will be interested on Adwords ads.

2) Write for Advertisers, Get some Targeted Visitors
Think in this way. You need more money (higher CPC) and advertisers want your readers to buy their products. If I’m an advertiser, I do not mind to pay $2 per click, if I can sell a product which can make $60 profit within your 10 visitors (10 clicks). So, at the end, my net profit is $40 ( $60 – [10 x $2]). It can be done by targeted visitors only.  Google is not only caring about publishers you and me, but also they are more concerned on their advertisers.
If your site is getting 100 clicks but none of the advertisers are getting expected benefits, then I’m sure it will reduce the quality score of your website ( I’m guessing this). So, next time AdSense will push lower CPC ads.

3) Traffic Country Location
It’s not mentioned in above infographic, but I want to mention it here. Most of the advertisers bid more on specific countries only where they can sell products online. As you know, our online buying rate is lessor than USA or Europe countries or Australia.
Even though you are targeting valuable keywords to get higher CPC ads, but if the traffic is not coming specific countries, the final CPC and earning will be less.
Look at my December 2011 AdSense earning report. Even though Page Views from India is in second place compared to other three countries, but the CPC and final earning is very less. CTR is almost same in all countries. But the CPC in India is 6 times lessor than USA and other countries.  This could be a good example of how traffic country location is important.
earning countrywise

If you have read this article up to here including the infographic thoroughly, I’m sure you would have understood the mistakes on your website and why it is not making good money with AdSense. You can increase the final earning by increasing the CTR and traffic, but if the CPC is very low, then you have no point in doing them.
Just understand these basic points and keep them on your mind while writing your next post. Look at the full process in single picture, do not only think about you as a publisher to make more money with AdSense. Try to understand how it works, what Google is doing behind it, how ads are filtered and displayed and what advertisers are wanting from your readers.
I hope this post would be useful. Let me know what mistakes and lessons you realized after reading this article!. Please do not share your exact figures of CTR, CPC and RPM of AdSense, its against Adsense TOS.

Increase Google Adsense CPC With Simple Tips

Recently one of my reader asked a question about the CPC he receives for each click from adsense. He is getting around 0.01$ per click (yes, its very low). He asked me to check his blog for some suggestions. I found out the possible reasons for low CPC. In this post, let me explain simple tips on how to increase Adsense CPC.

What is Adsense CPC?

CPC is ‘Cost Per Click’ in average. Let’s say, you get 0.02$ for one click and 1$ for another click, so your average CPC is (0.02$ + 1$ )/2 =  0.51$. CPC is a another factor in Adsense to decide the performance along with eCPM (Effective Cost Per Mile) and CTR (Click Through Rate).
You must try the possible methods to increase the CPC in Adsense to maximize the revenue. Increasing the CTR also will help, but when CPC is low with high CTR, still there will be less earnings.
For example, instead of getting 10 clicks at 0.02$ CPC ( 10 x 0.02$ = 0.2$), try to get 2 clicks at 0.50$ CPC which is 2 x 0.50$ = 1$, much better isn’t it?. So, your CTR is less ( 10 to 2), but final earning is much better ( 0.2$ to 1$) because of good CPC ( 0.02$ to 0.5$). I hope you got my point.

Let’s See How to Increase Adsense CPC

1) Concentrate on Keywords, niche and topic

Not all types on content shows the same types of ads. Advertisers pay(bid) more money on particular keywords which will pay good CPC. You must find out the high paying keywords for your blog topic and write about or include them in your blog posts. Google Adsense robots scan your content before display ads, if they find the valuable keywords and useful content, then Google will serve high quality ads.
See Also,
How to find high paying keywords for Google Adsense
This doesn’t mean, you have to write only about high paying keywords. Getting search engine traffic to high paying keywords is very difficult since it will have more competition.
You write what you know and like to write, but keep in mind about high paying keywords and include them in few places.
Also, you have think about the potential advertisers and competition of the topic you write. Let’s say you are writing about free stuff, then you may possibly get less CPC, because none of the advertisers will pay high payout for free stuff which they can’t sell. Keep in mind!, each advertiser who is advertising though Google (Adwords) which display as Adsense ads in our blogs, need our visitors to their product page and convert them to sale, registration, or any action.

2) Enable Image and Text Ads.

Some people do not like image, Rich media ads in their blog posts, because they expect adsense ads to show like a link (text link). In my experience, image and multi media  ads works well in all the places. If you have Text only ads, make them to image and text. You can see the different in next two weeks. I experimented several times and several places, then decided image and text ads works well. Google highly recommends Image and Text ads.
Here are the few reasons,
  • Image ads are likely to be clicked (High CTR)
  • All famous advertisers and product owners like to show their brands and products as an image or rich media, so this might bring quality ads and good CPC.
  • Only one image ad can be shown at a time instead of showing 3 to 4 text ads. This may possibly a good CPC ad.
  • More advertisers will target your ad slots directly if you allow image and text ads though Adwords or Google Ad Planner.
3) Too many Ads – Less CPC

Are you using all three adsense ad blocks? if yes,is it balancing your each post content?. I recommend to use all three ad blocks if your blog posts are long enough to accommodate these slots and with valuable keywords available to feed Google adsense robots.
If your articles are too short and not having rich keywords, then Google will struggle to show relevant, high paying, and interested ads for the visitors. At the end, you get clicks but no earnings because of low paying, non relevant and some times public ads too.

4) Monitor your Higher CTR Ad with Custom Channels

Channels are very important here. This gives the clear idea of which Ad slot is performing well, measure CPC, eCPM , CTR and earnings of particular ad block. Create custom channels for each ad slot in your blog and monitor the performance for  two weeks.
How this helps in increasing Adsense CPC?
  • Remove the low performing Ad slot from your blog ( Decide by CTR and final earnings) for testing purpose. Now, Google may serve better ads to other two ad slots which is performing well, so your earnings will increase.
  • Go to Next point.
5) First Ad unit in HTML Code Serves better ads

You may have one ad in header and other one inside post content, which ad will load first in your blog page? Obviously  the ad in header, because that is at the first place in HTML code. Normally Google servers quality and high paying ads to first ad slot in a webpage, so in this example, it will be the header ad.
So, the next question is, is your header ad getting good CTR? here is the clash. When your ad block inside content is getting good clicks (higher CTR) than header ad, but still Google will server good ads in header. So you are wasting some of the possible clicks here.
To fix this issues, Google suggests to ad your important ad slot inside div tag, which is explained clearly in Google help page here. Adsense robots will serve highly quality ads to the block with div tag no matter where it is located in HTML code. Use div tag to the good performing block which you decided by custom channels in early step.

6) Reduce Accident, Fraud and Useless Clicks

Don’t think you can make good money by clicking your ads from different IPs, ask your friends to click and anything like it. Google is very smart to find out these types of clicks and they will ban your account. Also, just clicking ads and closing the advertisers’ page immediately will be notified to Google. Google is much concern about their advertisers also, if your all clicks work like that without any benefits to advertisers what they expect, then Google might put your website in lower place where low quality ads will be served.
In long term plan, make sure Adsense ads are look like advertisements in your website and your visitors are interested and clicking ads to visit advertisers page purposely. Do not blend too much with your theme and expect some accident clicks. You can’t survive with accident, fraud and quick browser closing clicks in long term with Google adsense. This definitely effects the CPC, when your blog visitors converted well by advertisers with quality clicks, then you may get quality high paying ads.

There are few more techniques available to increase Adsense CPC, I think it will be useful once your blog started generating good traffic. I will publish them later in this blog. Stay tuned.
Believe me, a blog or website need time to generate reasonable income from Adsense. It’s not easy, but very much possible. The reader on mine, who contacted me, is having one month old with good traffic and by average he get 4 clicks per day which is very impressive. But it will take some time to earn stable income with Adsense.
Here is the real example, when I look back one year ago exactly on March 2010, my monthly earning was 33.59$.
How to Increase Adsense CPC
Here is the current earning exactly after one year, around 550$ monthly with same single Blog.
How to Increase Adsense CPC
How I Did?
  • Keep producing content
  • Write for you and your readers
  • Generate good traffic from search engines
  • Don’t’ put all ads in one place
  • Don’t try all money making methods at a time
  • Experiment the ad positions and colors but don’t over do it again and again
  • Finally don’t motivate your self in blogging only for money.
Be a good bloggers to your readers, other bloggers and yourself – you can be a successful blogger in short time.

Method To Earn 10 Dollars Per Day from Adsense in 2016

Most of the bloggers try Google Adsense as one of the first money making program in their career. For some, still it works good and remain as their main income source, including me.  It is really a great, hassle free and solid CPC (Cost Per Click) money making program you can try without any issues. Unfortunately it’s not so easy now and it’s not working as how it used to work 5 years ago. Things have changed, readers are smart enough to know which one is advertisement and which one is your link. If really they do not have interest and intention to click  ads, as bloggers we do not have much option and control.  Making 10 dollars daily from Adsense should be the first target for any new bloggers to achieve.  Here I discuss and show you how to make 10 dollars per day from Adsense.

This post was firstly published on April 10, 2016, and updated 14th January 2015.

There are specific requirements I will be suggesting below based on my 6 years experience with Google Adsense. I’m not going to say how to create a website to make 10 dollars per day or how to select the topic for that.  I’m going to say what are the requirements to make 10 dollars per day from your existing blog (or even the new blog you are going to start) from Google Adsense.
Before dive deep in to the matter, see the below screenshot.
image

You must be say ‘Wow’  by now, that’s right. 1 click brings more than 10$, it is from my Google analytics dashboard. That indicates Google Adsense still works and there are high potential topics/keywords in the market which can bring higher CPC earnings.  So your task should be very easy in making 10$ per day from Adsense.
This is the power of Google Adsense. Your blog’s topic and traffic source country play major roles in the Adsense earnings, I will be covering them below.

Understand The Terms

There are few measurements in Google Adsense, like CTR (Click Through Rate), CPC ( Cost Per Click) and RPM ( Revenue per Thousand impressions). CTR and CPC are individual factor while RPM is a collective measurement.  That means, if you are getting good CPC and CTR, you will have a good RPM. In other case if you have a good CPC but very bad CTR, then the RPM will be less. So, RPM is the ultimate factor to see whether your blog is doing good with Google Adsense ( of course you must consider increasing the CPC and CTR all the time which will directly increase the RPM).
So, what is RPM?  it means how much money your blog  is making from 1000 page views .
If you are making 8$ from 2000 Page views daily, then your RPM is 4$ ( 8 x 1000/2000).  We will be connecting the RPM and discuss how to make 10 dollars from Adsense below.  The RPM can be different for each type of blog, for example, technology, news, entertainment, free stuff, financing and education etc.… blogs will have different RPM ( because the CPC and CTR would be different for each blogs).
I would say 3.5$ RPM is reasonable and you should target more than that. If you are making 2 to 3 $ RPM, then you should spend more time to increase the RPM to 3.5$ or more dollars.

The Math to Earn 10 Dollars per Day from Adsense

So, if we assume 3.5$ RPM, you will make 3.5$ from every 1000 Page views daily.  To get 10$ per day from Adsense , let us multiply this by 3 (even though it will reach 10.50$) to get 10$ round figure per day. That means, your blog has to generate 3000 page views per day to make 10$ per day from Google Adsense.
Is it a difficult job to make 3000 page views per day?…It will look tough for any new bloggers and even for the old bloggers who are struggling generate the good traffic for their blogs.
Let me break down the 3000 Page Views per day like below,
  • 30 articles on your blog which can generate 100 PVs per day
  • 60 articles which can generate 50 PVs per day
  • 120 articles which can generate 25 PVs per day.
Do you think article numbers are increasing, then how about this?
  • 15 articles which can generate 200 PVs per day,
  • OR just 3 killer articles which can generate 1000 PVs per day.
It’ your decision to target a suitable scenario for you.
At the end we need genuine 3000 page views daily to make 10 dollars per day from Google Adsense assuming the RPM is 3.5$ and very importantly your blog is meeting following requirements.

Other Factors to Decide on How to Earn 10 Dollars per Day from Adsense

1) Your niche and keywords are very important.

Your blog should have high or reasonably paying keywords. Though we can’t say what is the best CPC amount, but I would say you should make sure your average CPC is higher than 0.25$.  If you are targeting higher CPC keywords, then this rate will be higher so the RPM too. In my experience anything related to ‘Free’ will not bring good CPC.
higher paying adsense cpcwww.tricktimenepal.blogspot.com
Click here to check the original post of above image.
You do not need to start a blog or straightaway target these keywords to increase the Adsense CPC ( it is very tough actually), but you can get an idea which topic can bring good CPC to make 10 dollars from Adsense per day by seeing above image.
Google adwords keyword planner is another free resource to find out the CPC of your relevant keyword. I have already published a guide in below link, highly recommended to read this post.
Read more here to find out higher paying keywords.

2) Your blog may require around 2100 PVs via search engines daily.

Organic traffic is very important to make money from Adsense.  Assuming the average search engine traffic for a blog should be somewhere around 70%. So out of our required 3000 PVs per day, the 70% is 2100 PVs.
You must make sure around 70% of your daily traffic is coming via search engines. Because these are the users new for your blog and may click yours ads.

3) Use above the fold ad placement

No matter how many ads you are using in your blog, make sure at least one ad is placed above the fold. ‘Above the fold’ is the place a visitor sees without scrolling down in internet browser. I think the ads with 300×250 or 336×260 size below the head line and above (or wrapped by) the content works better for higher CTR and RPM.
imagewww.tricktimenepal.blogspot.com
Google serves high paying ads to the ad slot which is loading first in a blog. So, make sure to utilize this ad slot well to earn your 10 dollars daily from Adsense.
Read my earlier guide about how to increase Google Adsense CPC.

4) Geographical Traffic Source is Very Important

Even if your blog is meeting above all requirements, but not getting the readers from specific countries (where normally CPC and Adsense ads are different and highly targeted), then the CPC will be less and your intention to make 10$ per day would not be achieved.  Clicks from some countries, like USA, Canada, UK, Australia pay much higher than other south Asian countries. So, even if your blog is getting 3000 PVs from Google daily, but the majority of  traffic is coming from south Asian countries, then I doubt you will get the 3.5$ RPM rate.
So, target a topic which can attract all readers from around the world.

2100 daily visits via search engines can be different for each blog depending on the content, ad placement and niche/keyword selection. If you have high paying keywords and getting good search engine traffic from around the world ( mainly USA), then may be two or three clicks will be enough to earn 10 dollars daily.
Whatever I have mentioned here is just an estimate to understand the requirement to make 10 dollars per day from Adsense.
Do share your thoughts about this estimate. If you are making daily 10 dollars from Adsense, do compare your state and share your opinion below.

How Much Time Google Adsense Takes To Earn First 100 Dollars

After you have successfully joined the Google Adsense program, the next target for most of us is to reach the payment threshold 100$. When I started blogging and joined Adsense back in 2009, this was the question I asked in so many places on the internet. But I couldn’t find correct answer. Even now, it is difficult to predict and confirm the formula to make your first 100 dollars from Adsense. Because the earning from Adsense is completely different for every blog, topic, traffic source and country of the visitors. I have decided to put a simple formula which may give some ideas to understand how long you may take to earn your first 100 dollars.
UPDATE: I’m updating this post almost after 4 years with the learned lessons and the experience.
Below was the my first check from Google Adsense which took quite long time.
www.tricktimenepal.blogspot.com
In my experience Google Adsense is one of the best program to make money from blogs till you become pro blogger to create your own product or start affiliate marketing. Getting the first payout 100 dollars is the very painful period for any bloggers. It took 29 months to reach 100 dollars in year 2010 for me ( Yes, I had some gaps in my blogging life), but now in 2016 my Adsense earning is far better.
Check my last month October 2014 earnings.
Ok, Lets go to the point. This is just an average calculation with assumption. None of the Adsense publishers are allowed to publish their details stats like RPM, CPC and CTR publicly which is against Google Adsense TOS.
There are three important factors involved in our below calculation which are CTR ( Click Through Rate), Page CPM( Cost Per Mile). RPM is new factor ( Revenue Per Mile), but we are not going to talk about it here. Each factor directly impact the final Adsense Earnings.  We are not considering CTR in this calculation, but I can say if you can increase your current CTR rate, that will boost the final earnings.
So, its all with CPM we are going to take here. Adsense CPM indicates how much you earn from every 1000 page impressions with Adsense ads (no matter how many ads on them)
So, if you earn 5$ from 2500 page impressions, your CPM is,
(5/2500)*1000 = 2$
You earn 2$ from every 1000 impressions.

How Longs Takes to Earn First 100 Dollars From Google Adsense

Here is the point, I can’t tell how much is the best CPM, it completely depends on your blog niche and traffic source.
In my experience and what I read from other blogs, 1.5$ to 2.5$ will be an ordinary CPM currently.
If its less than 1$, then you should improve and concentrate on increasing Google adsense income.
If you are getting around 3$ to 5$ CPM continuously every month, then you doing well, if it is more than 5$, then it is a great CPM rate.
In our case, we will take 2.5$ as average eCPM and to make the calculation easy, we will do it for first 105 dollars.
So, with 2.5$ eCPM to earn 105 dollars, you need 42,000 page impressions.
(1000/2.5)*105 = 42,000
This figure can be less or more for you, because it depends on type visitors, source of traffic and country of origin which make these impressions.
So, lets go to the next step.
When a visitor visits your blog, he or she checks average 1.5 pages on a blog.
To get 42,000 page impressions, you need 28,000 visitors.
(1/1.5) * 70,000 = 28,000
Again, this 28,000 visitors can be from direct, referral, social networking and search engines sources.
Mostly the search engine traffic users (who come from Google, Bing and Yahoo search) will be useful for any CPC programs including Google adsense. Because they are the new users and will possibly click the ads on your website. Your regular visitors and social networking users may not be interested on the ads showing up in your blog.
65% to 75% search engine traffic will be healthy for a blog in my opinion. In this example, we will take 70%.
So, in 28,000 visitors, you need 70% of organic traffic, which is 19,600 visitors
(70/100)*28,000 = 19,600 visitors from Search Engines

Wow, that’s a big number.

Now you can get rough idea based on your average CPM (Also called RPM) and daily search engine traffic to know when you will get the first 100 dollar adsense check.
I have updated few numbers and CPM rates now (compared to previous version of this guide in 2010). Because in my opinion, the potentially of making more money from Google Adsnese has been improved since 2010. There are lot of competitions and bidding among advertisers in Google Adwords market place. That enables bloggers like us to get higher earnings because of higer CPC ( Cost per Click).
If you are getting 100 average daily search engine traffic visitors, then it may take around 6 to 7 months to get your first 100 dollar from adsense.
But one thing, Your blog will not be getting the same 100 daily search engine visitors for next 6 months, it will increase when you update your blog with unique content regularly. So, once you blog properly with correct techniques, then you can reach 19,600 search engine visitors quickly and get your 100 dollars.
Finally, it all depended on your adsense optimization to get high CTR, CPC and CPM, organic traffic and keyword selection. But to know these techniques, it will take some time for new bloggers.
If you think this calculation is wrong, feel free to share the reason. Still if somebody is not making any money from adsense after this much traffic, the contact me. I will try to help you.
Have a nice blogging.

Don’t understand what is Page impression? You have some page impression at your credit but earning not yet started, why? What is the difference between page impression and eCPM? How much you can earn from impression? OK,OK,OK, I understand your problem.
I will going to teach you everything about Adsense Page Impression.First you should be acquainted with the term ‘Page Impression’. What is Page Impression: Page impression means how many times the page or pages containing the AdSense advertisement was accessed or viewed by a user. According to webopedia ‘The exact number of times a specific Web site has been accessed or viewed by a user.
A page impression acts as a counter for Web pages, informing site owners how many times their sites were visited. Page impressions are also referred to as hits’. Now you may interested to know how you can earn through Page Impression. You have some page impression but your earning is $0.00. You are thinking why your earning is not started yet from page impression. Don’t worried if your site has good content and well connected to other sites, certainly you will earn. I think after signing up Adsense you have already go through How much will I earn through this programme. Actually main income from Adsense is CPC or cost-per-click ads and CPM or cost per thousand impression. Learn Google Search Tips For Better Searches

google search tips and tricks for better searches, nepali search, easy search, fast searching
Search is simple: just type whatever comes to mind in the search box, hit Enter or click the Search button, and Google will search the web for content that's relevant to your search. If you have Google Instant enabled, results may appear dynamically as you type.
Most of the time, you'll find exactly what you're looking for with just a basic query (the word or phrase you search for). However, the following tips can help you make the most of your searches. Throughout the article, i'll use square brackets [ ] to signal a search query, so [ black and white] is one query, while [ black ] and [ white ] are two separate queries.

Some basic facts for google search

  • Every word matters. Generally, all the words you put in the query will be used.
  • Search is always case insensitive. A search for [ nepal ] is the same as a search for [ NEPAL ].
  • Generally, punctuation is ignored, including @#$%^&*()=+[] and other special characters. To make sure that your Google searches return the most relevant results, there are some exceptions to the rules above.

Tips for better search results

  • Keep it simple. If you're looking for a particular company, just enter its name, or as much of its name as you can recall. If you're looking for a particular concept, place, or product, start with its name. If you're looking for a web designer, just enter web designer and the name of your town or country. Most queries do not require advanced operators or unusual syntax. Simple is good.

  • Think how the page you are looking for will be written. A search engine is not a human, it is a program that matches the words you give to pages on the web. Use the words that are most likely to appear on the page. For example, instead of saying [ The person, who provides websites design services ], say [ web designer], because that's the term a web professionals will use.

  • Describe what you need with as few terms as possible. The goal of each word in a query is to focus it further. Since all words are used, each additional word limits the results. If you limit too much, you will miss a lot of useful information. The main advantage to starting with fewer keywords is that, if you don't get what you need, the results will likely give you a good indication of what additional words are needed to refine your results on the next search. For example, [ web designer nepal ] is a simple way to find the weather and it is likely to give better results than the longer [ persons who are working as a web designer in nepal ].

  • Choose descriptive words. The more unique the word is the more likely you are to get relevant results. Words that are not very descriptive, like 'document,' 'website,' 'company,' or 'info,' are usually not needed. Keep in mind, however, that even if the word has the correct meaning but it is not the one most people use, it may not match the pages you need. For example, [ nepali ringtones ] is more descriptive and specific than [ nepali sounds ].

Advance Search Tips

  • Phrase search ("")
By putting double quotes around a set of words, you are telling Google to consider the exact words in that exact order without any change. Google already uses the order and the fact that the words are together as a very strong signal and will stray from it only for a good reason, so quotes are usually unnecessary. By insisting on phrase search you might be missing good results accidentally. For example, a search for [ "Alexander Bell" ] (with quotes) will miss the pages that refer to Alexander G. Bell.
  • Search within a specific website (site:)
Google allows you to specify that your search results must come from a given website. For example, the query [ web hosting site:nirmal.com.np ] will return pages about web hosting but only from nirmal.com.np. The simpler queries [ web hosting nirmal.com.np ] or [ web hosting Nirmal] will usually be just as good, though they might return results from other sites that mention the web hosting service. You can also specify a whole class of sites, for example [ weh hosting site:.com ] will return results only from a .com domain and [ web hosting site:.np ] will return results only from nepali sites.
  • Terms you want to exclude (-)
Attaching a minus sign immediately before a word indicates that you do not want pages that contain this word to appear in your results. The minus sign should appear immediately before the word and should be preceded with a space. For example, in the query [ anti-virus software ], the minus sign is used as a hyphen and will not be interpreted as an exclusion symbol; whereas the query [ anti-virus -software ] will search for the words 'anti-virus' but exclude references to software. You can exclude as many words as you want by using the - sign in front of all of them, for example [ jaguar -cars -football -os ]. The - sign can be used to exclude more than just words. For example, place a hyphen before the 'site:' operator (without a space) to exclude a specific site from your search results.
  • Fill in the blanks (*)
The *, or wildcard, is a little-known feature that can be very powerful. If you include * within a query, it tells Google to try to treat the star as a placeholder for any unknown term(s) and then find the best matches. For example, the search [ Google * ] will give you results about many of Google's products (go to next page and next page -- we have many products). The query [ Obama voted * on the * bill ] will give you stories about different votes on different bills. Note that the * operator works only on whole words, not parts of words.
  • Search exactly as is (+)
Google employs synonyms automatically, so that it finds pages that mention, for example, childcare for the query [ child care ] (with a space), or California history for the query [ ca history ]. But sometimes Google helps out a little too much and gives you a synonym when you don't really want it. By attaching a+ immediately before a word (remember, don't add a space after the +), you are telling Google to match that word precisely as you typed it. Putting double quotes around a single word will do the same thing.
  • The OR operator
Google's default behavior is to consider all the words in a search. If you want to specifically allow either one of several words, you can use the OR operator (note that you have to type 'OR' in ALL CAPS). For example, [ San Francisco Giants 2004 OR 2005 ] will give you results about either one of these years, whereas [ San Francisco Giants 2004 2005 ] (without the OR) will show pages that include both years on the same page. The symbol | can be substituted for OR. (The AND operator, by the way, is the default, so it is not needed.)

Exceptions

Search is rarely absolute. Search engines use a variety of techniques to imitate how people think and to approximate their behavior. As a result, most rules have exceptions. For example, the query [ for better or for worse ] will not be interpreted by Google as an OR query, but as a phrase that matches a (very popular) comic strip. Google will show calculator results for the query [ 34 * 87 ] rather than use the 'Fill in the blanks' operator. Both cases follow the obvious intent of the query. Here is a list of exceptions to some of the rules and guidelines:

Exceptions to 'Every word matters'

  • Words that are commonly used, like 'the,' 'a,' and 'for,' are usually ignored (these are called stop words). But there are even exceptions to this exception. The search [ the who ] likely refers to the band; the query [ who ] probably refers to the World Health Organization -- Google will not ignore the word 'the' in the first query.
  • Synonyms might replace some words in your original query. (Adding + before a word disables synonyms.)
  • A particular word might not appear on a page in your results if there is sufficient other evidence that the page is relevant. The evidence might come from language analysis that Google has done or many other sources. For example, the query [ overhead view of the bellagio pool ] will give you nice overhead pictures from pages that do not include the word 'overhead.'

Punctuation that is not ignored

  • Punctuation in popular terms that have particular meanings, like [ C++ ] or [ C# ] (both are names of programming languages), are not ignored.
  • The dollar sign ($) is used to indicate prices. [ nikon 400 ] and [ nikon $400 ] will give different results.
  • The hyphen - is sometimes used as a signal that the two words around it are very strongly connected. (Unless there is no space after the - and a space before it, in which case it is a negative sign.)
  • The underscore symbol _ is not ignored when it connects two words, e.g. [ quick_sort ].

Earn Money Throw Google Adsense CPM

How to earn money from Google Adsense CPM?

Hi dear reader today i am going to teach you how to make money from Google Adsense CPM. You have ample number of page impressions but your earning shows as $0.00 because you do not have click on the google Ads. Are you disheartened? Looking for earning through page impressions only? Yes you have landed in the right place. Here I am going to discuss how to earn through page impressions. In Google Adsense programme Ads can be either cost-per-click or cost-per thousand-impression basis.
When the advertisers display CPC ads only in your site, you will earn for each valid click-through on ad; You can earn cost-per-thousand-impression basis when the advertisers display CPM ads. CPM stands for "cost per 1000 impressions." The adwords advertisers set specific price per 1000 ads served. They chose particular site to run CPM ads, and pay each time their ad appears. Now the question is how do you get cost-per-thousand-impression ads. CPM ads can be either text or image ads, and are always site-targeted. CPM ads and CPC ads compete each other. You will be paid as per the highest performing ads. So your site should be good enough to get CPM ads. Both Text and image ads can be paid on either on CPC or CPM basis. Advertisers will choose which type of ad they'd like to display - text or image.
If the advertisers consider that your site is relevant for displaying image ads they will display image ads.If you chose only image Ads, You might see public service ads if there is no image ads relevant to your site content. So, I suggest to opt into both text and image ads. There by you can maximize your site’s revenue. At present all CPM ads are site targeted, that means if an advertiser select your content as relevant to their campaign only then CPM ads will be displayed on your site. customize your Onsite Advertiser Sign-up landing page for advertiser bidding on your site.
